Cherokee Brave Dogwood is a low branching small native deciduous tree with a rounded habit. Its leaves are a dark green that turns rust-red in fall.  Cherokee Brave Dogwood is a heavy bloomer that has large clusters of flowers that emerge with red brackets that mature to white in early spring and attract butterflies Prefers part sun and slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soil.  

Cornus florida is a host for Spring Azure butterfly and Cecropia Silkmoth, and supports several specialized bees.  The fruits are browsed by songbirds and mammals.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Prone to leaf scorching or spots in full sun.  Stressed Dogwoods are susceptible to leaf spot, crown canker, root rot, powdery mildew, blight, and anthracnose.  Anthracnose can be a serious problem.  Mulching will help keep roots cool in summer.

After the plants are delivered, Dunwoody Ace Hardware no longer has any ability to care for the plants, therefore we cannot be held responsible for what happens after plants are delivered. If you wish to refund your plant days after delivery, you may return the plant to our location:

*A customer has 24 hours after the time Ace Hardware drops off the plants to inspect and accept or reject any items in the order. If you wish to refund your plant days after delivery, you may return the plant to our location: 1316 Dunwoody Village Pkwy, Dunwoody GA 30338.

 

**After the initial 24 hours, there is a $20 delivery fee. Replacement plants will be delivered within 30 days. Dunwoody Ace Hardware reserves the right to refund an item if a replacement cannot be delivered.
