Pyrus communis 'Bartlett' ~ Bartlett Pear
Bartlett Pear is a fast-growing deciduous tree primarily grown for its fruit but has wonderful red or yellow fall color. Creamy white spring flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies. The large aromatic fruits have the classic pear shape has yellow skin that brightens as they ripen in September. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Bartlett is a self pollinator but sets fruit better with another cultivar.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Needs regular watering. Pears are particularly prone to fire blight, especially after wet and warm springs. Other issues include canker, powdery mildew, scab, and anthracnose. Possible pests include pear psylla, coddling moth and borers. Fallen fruit can be messy if not harvested.

*A customer has 24 hours after the time Ace Hardware drops off the plants to inspect and accept or reject any items in the order. If you wish to refund your plant days after delivery, you may return the plant to our location: 1316 Dunwoody Village Pkwy, Dunwoody GA 30338.
**After the initial 24 hours, there is a $20 delivery fee. Replacement plants will be delivered within 30 days. Dunwoody Ace Hardware reserves the right to refund an item if a replacement cannot be delivered.
