Cercis canadensis var. texensis 'Traveller' ~ Traveller Weeping Redbud
Traveller Redbud is a spectacular and hardy native deciduous tree with a dramatic weeping canopy and small glossy foliage that emerges copper before maturing to dark green. Very showy, vibrant fuchsia flowers held tightly on bare branches bloom in early spring before the foliage emerges. Prefers partial sun and rich well-drained soils with consistent moisture. Tolerates deer and Black Walnuts.
Cercis canadensis is an important host for the Henry's Elfin Butterfly and supports a specialized bee- the Southeast Blueberry Bee. Its nectar is an early food source for several butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. The seedpods are enjoyed by birds and wildlife.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance. Canker can be a significant disease problem. Various diseases and pests and be prevented with regular watering and pruning of dead branches. Does not transplant well, plant when young and leave undisturbed.
LANDSCAPE USES: Specimen or mass plantings, Borders, Naturalized Areas, Woodland Garden, Wildlife Gardens, Screening, Shade Tree, and Street Tree.

*A customer has 24 hours after the time Ace Hardware drops off the plants to inspect and accept or reject any items in the order. If you wish to refund your plant days after delivery, you may return the plant to our location: 1316 Dunwoody Village Pkwy, Dunwoody GA 30338.
**After the initial 24 hours, there is a $20 delivery fee. Replacement plants will be delivered within 30 days. Dunwoody Ace Hardware reserves the right to refund an item if a replacement cannot be delivered.
